Thank you for being a supporter of D'Andrea Golf Club! We appreciate our relationship with you and continually strive to make D'Andrea a place that you want to frequent. We're not only a golf course, but we're also a great venue for weddings, business lunches, retirement celebrations, holiday parties, meetings and special events. We have one of the best views in the region overlooking downtown Reno and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains.

Pro's Corner

 Nate Kelley - PGA Head Professional

We have a lot of exciting news, tournaments and programs planned for the month of July!

Rock and Roll Friday - July, 10^th at 5pm
Start your weekend off with 9 holes of golf, music, appetizers and drinks for only $40 per person ($20 for full golf members). If you're not a golfer come on by for the entertainment, food and drinks for only $20.

Friday Night Couples - July 17^th at 5pm
Enjoy this popular event with 9 holes of golf and themed dinner for only $45 per person ($25 for full golf members).

Junior Bighorn Golf Camps - July 21, 22, 23 from Noon to 1:30pm
The cost is $80 per Junior for 3 days of clinics and lunch each day! Your Junior will learn safety, etiquette, and the basic fundamentals of the great game of golf! The camps are open to boys and girls ages 8-14.

McGladrey Team Championship Local Qualifier - July 24^th at 2pm
Last year's team of John, Brooks and JT Robinson won the local qualifier at D'Andrea with a great score of 61. Head Golf Professional, Nate Kelley, joined the Robinsons at Chardonnay Club in Napa for the Sectional Qualifier and missed a trip to the finals at Pinehurst by one stroke! This year D'Andrea also hosts the Sectional Qualifying Round in August. Some good old fashioned local knowledge could send one of our teams to Pinehurst! Put your 3 person team together and sign up now!

Keeper of the Greens

"Wet and Wild" is the best way to describe the month of June. The third wettest June in the history of our region and the wettest June in the Golf Club's history. With that said, the golf course has never been in better shape this time of year and is set up perfectly for the summer heat!

We have begun adding sand to several bunkers that desperately needed it after a dry windy winter. Hope to have all the problem bunkers addressed by the first week of July, so keep it the fairway because there could be some fluffy lies until the sand has time to firm up.

With the extension and widening of most of our fairways, you may think the golf course would play a little easier. However we felt like we  needed to level the playing field by taking the fairway cut right up to the edge of the fairway bunkers bringing them back into play.

We couldn't be more excited about course conditions this season and all indications are that the weather is finally going to break and the heat will be on so enjoy, play well, and we'll see you out there!

Now through July 24^th, The First Tee of Northern Nevada is selling Good Any One Day vouchers to the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. These are special vouchers that have The First Tee of Northern Nevada logo on the ticket. Tickets are $17.50 each and 50% of proceeds benefit The First Tee of Northern Nevada.
